Don't worry about your data leaving your Mac
It doesn't. No account, no API key and no server of ours. Here is exactly what SupaYatta touches, and what it never does.
What it reads
Only what it needs to tell you a session's state.
- Session statusWorking, needs you or done, sent by Claude Code and Codex hooks on your Mac.
- Task title and project folderSo each row in the notch says which task it is.
- A short previewThe agent's last reply or question, trimmed to 200 characters, for the alert card.
- Local agent files, read-onlyThe end of Cowork's transcript and Codex desktop's task list. It never edits them.
What it keeps
Work data stays on your Mac. Access records are kept separately.
- Session states and recent alertsSaved in files only your user account can open.
- Your settingsPlacement, sound, and which agents and usage bars are on.
- Usage percentagesThe limits your agents already report. Codex usage comes from your own signed-in Codex CLI.
- Trial or license accessTrial keys and receipts stay in Keychain. The server keeps only the email/device trial record or paid-license data needed to provide access.
What it never does
Your work stays private even when access is verified online.
- It never uploads your prompts, code or repliesTrial and licensing requests never include your conversations or agent events.
- It never tracks youNo analytics and no telemetry. The app has no tracking built in.
- It never asks for an account or API keyEmail verification is only for the optional trial. It doesn't call an AI model or ask for your provider key.
- It never acts for youNo answering, approving or resuming anything. You stay in control.
What it changes on your Mac
One small change, and only when you connect an agent.
- It backs up your settings fileAn exact copy of
~/.claude/settings.jsonor~/.codex/hooks.jsonis saved before anything changes. - You click Connect, it adds its hooksOnly its own hooks go in. Your other settings stay untouched.
- Click Disconnect, the hooks come outIt removes only what it added, so later edits you made stay. The backup stays too.
Honest and affordable pricing
No ads, no hidden fees, no shenanigans. Your data stays private and I get to focus on building the best product for you.

Still unsure? Straight answers here
Does it read my conversations?
Only enough to show status. Claude Code and Codex report through local hooks on your Mac, and Cowork through a read-only tail of its transcript file. The alert card keeps a 200-character preview of the last reply or question on your Mac. Your prompts, code, replies and session history are never sent to SupaYatta's trial or licensing service.
Does it need an API key?
No. SupaYatta doesn't call any model and doesn't ask for a key. It only watches whether your existing sessions are working, stuck, or finished.
Does green mean the task succeeded?
No. Green means the agent's turn ended, not that the result is right. Review what it did before handing it the next task.
Which Macs does it work on?
macOS 13 and newer. Docks into the notch on MacBooks that have one, or runs as a detachable floating bar on any Mac.
What if I only use Claude, or only Codex?
It works with either on its own. Connect just the one you use; the notch shows whatever sessions it can see.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. A seven-day free trial is available in the app. No credit card required. Product updates, discounts and offers are a separate optional checkbox. Purchases still include a 14-day money-back guarantee.
I have a SupaSidebar Believer license. How do I get my free key?
Yes, it's free. Head to the claim page and follow the steps there.
